Edison Flat is a Medicine Hat clothing brand from the folks at Tiki Press. We started this brand because we were hell bent on creating Alberta themed apparel that didn't suck. Full stop.
Everything we do starts right here. Designed and decorated in Medicine Hat, Edison Flat exists because we wanted locally themed clothing that actually feels good to wear and doesn’t look like it came from a gas station gift rack. We’re inspired by the city we live in, the province we’re rooted in, and the idea that local pride doesn’t have to be loud, cheesy (unless we want it to be).
Our style is built on intentional design, and just enough attitude to keep things interesting. Some pieces are subtle. Some are weird. Some are very much us doing whatever we want that week. We make the stuff we want to wear and we hope you feel the same.
A lot of our apparel is hand screen-printed right here in Medicine Hat because we care about how things are made, not just how fast they sell. That also means limited runs, small batches, and designs that don’t feel disposable. When you buy Edison Flat, you’re not buying a souvenir, you’re buying something made with intent, by people who actually live here.
Our Medicine Hat Tourism specific designs were created by Cam Hoff, a designer born and raised in Medicine Hat. These pieces nod to local landmarks and history but they’re designed to feel modern with a nostalgic glimmer.
Edison Flat is proudly Alberta-based, proudly independent, and proudly a little off the wall. We don’t believe local clothing has to look a certain way. We don’t believe there’s one “right” version of Medicine Hat. And we definitely don’t believe in playing it safe just because something is supposed to appeal to tourists or fit a box.
We create what we want. We print what we believe in.
